Horse Expo Pomona returns to the Fairplex in Pomona, Calif., Feb. 7-9, 2014

horseThis year’s expo will feature more than 300 exhibits featuring products and services.

Miki Nelsen, president of Horse Expo Events, said, “We continue to expand our programming and exhibit areas as we focus on broadening our expo to capture new aspects of the horse industry. This year we are welcoming several new events including the “Breed Revelation,” “Premium Horse Sale,” and a nationally sanctioned NRCHA (National Reined Cow Horse Association) Event, the California Classic Invitational Cow Horse.”

Headlining the event this year will be John Lyons and family. Horse Expo University clinicians will include:

  • Former U.S. Olympic team members Jane Savoie (dressage) and Gina Miles (three-day eventing);
  • NRCHA and American Quarter Horse Association World Champion Sandy Collier (reining);
  • Renowned author Susan Harris;
  • Cowgirl Hall of Fame inductee Sharon Camarillo (barrel racing); and many more.

Returning attractions include the “Young Rider Park,” trail symposium, book corral, “Great American Truck Display,” and the Equine Dream Art Show, sponsored by Blick Art Materials.

Additionally, attendees with horses or mules can participate in “The Ultimate Super Horse Challenge,” which offers a purse totaling over $5,000 in cash and prizes.

Adult admission tickets are $18 per day or $45 for the full weekend. Tickets for children 13 years and under are $5 per day and children under six are admitted free. Show hours are 9:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m., daily.
